Good afternoon to all my wonderful readers, friends, family and partners!
Wow what an amazing month filled with so much blessings, I don’t even know where to start!!
If you have been following me on social media I’ve been doing some short videos on Instagram @Heidi_Lues of my trip to Colorado and what an amazing trip it has been. The Lord provided and was SO faithful!
Before going on this trip the Lord told me that this will our time, and His got my back on this trip. I was quite nervous to travel by myself for the first time, but when you know God’s got your back, you don’t stress about it!
Being able to see the mother campus of Charis and where it all started, it changed my perspective and challenged me to think and dream SO much bigger!
The one thing I asked God every morning was to show me in a different way just how amazing He is! This happened everyday without fail!
I received so many Word, prophecies and teachings and I’m so glad I got to go a week before the 25th Anniversary of Charis! I was able to sit in on live teachings of some of my favourite teachers!
These two amazing ladies opened up their home for me to stay with them, and were they incredible hosts!! I will be forever grateful!
They also introduced me to their amazing friends, who also took me all over Colorado Springs even up higher mountains!
It was like walking into a movie, or dream. You always hear about Charis and the things that happened in Colorado, you always see it on pictures or short videos, but seeing it in real life changes your perspective so much, and forces you to think bigger!
One thing Andrew Wommack said that stuck with me was. If your vision is big enough for you to accomplish it in your lifetime you are thinking to small! Wow how amazing is that?!
Also what an incredible man of God, the love and peace of God shines through him more than I’ve seen in many other people!
What an honour to meet and sit in on two live teachings of my role model Carrie Pickett - what an inspiring woman of God she is!!
Mr. Barry Bennett answered so many of the questions I’ve always wondered about in the past 3 years of college, what a privilege to finally get a chance to thank him!
In April I wrote a report on a the book One Flesh, well I got to meet the author of this amazing book Bob Yandian!
Mr. Stephen Bransford from the Charis 3rd year media school! The inspiration to starting this blog and also a newsletter! Not to mention all the tips on media!
On Sunday, before I headed back home, we were able to visit Pastor Dean Hawk’s church Rock Family. He also spoke on how family is the focus of his church and tips on how to be a pastor. It was incredible to go to one of his services and see just that happening!
Pastor Greg Mohr, what a heart for people! One can just see it shining out of his eyes. I sat in on one of his live teaching on Prosperity God’s Way and even though I had hear this message so many times before, I received a revelation that I’ve been missing all alone!
Word - You can’t get where you want to go, if you are not content where you are now.
I’ve heard it before, and even though he was speaking on prosperity. He likened it to other areas of life, and that is where the revelation came!
It applies to any and all areas of our lives, physically the way you look, your weight, your skin, your hair colour all the way to your life goals!
I have a tendency of always be dreaming of the future, things I’ll do and things that are coming up. I sometimes forget the here and now.
Matthew 6:33-34 says
Seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for tomorrow, for tomorrow shall take thought of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Meaning each day has enough trouble of it’s own! What can worrying about your future do anyways?
But seek God in everything, daily. If you spend time with God, you will find that you slow down. Down to the moment, the right here, the right now.
You are not thinking about what you are going to do when you get up from reading this, you are not thinking of what you will have for dinner, or what you still need to do before Monday morning comes.
No! You are in the here and now, the uttermost peace of God, drinking in what He has for you right now.
Today’s word I want to keep short. I want to challenge you, through your busy live. Stop, close your eyes, breath, feel God’s presence, and be thankful for the here and now!
Much love
