Hello to all my friends, family and partners!!
It is wonderful to be writing to you again, as this year comes to an end. I’ve decided to share a little bit about what the Lord has taught me this year.
Because we cried so much and we were stretched so much!
We were a group of just girls in 2nd year and well we did cry quite a lot!
But it was the good kind of crying, it was the kind of crying needed for healing and growth.
The one scripture that really stood out this year in a literal sense would be
Gal 2:20:
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
One of the biggest challenges I faced this year was to die to self. Getting myself out of the way and making space for God to flow thru me!
Second year, taught me how to die to self, I was taught how to overcome the fear I had of people.
When you overcome this fear of man and start to understand who God is, who He says you are,
thats when you can start helping other people.
So who does God say I am?
He says I was CHOSEN before the foundations of the earth.
- Ephesians 1:4 says According as He has chosen us in him, before the foundation of the world…….
He says that nothing I do can separate me from His love!
- Romans 8:35-37 says Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
He says I am more than a conqueror!!
He says I’m victorious,
- 1 Corinthians 15:57 says But thanks be to God, which gives us the Victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
He says I’m victorious,
- 1 Corinthians 15:57 says But thanks be to God, which gives us the Victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
He says I am righteous
- Romans 5:19 for as by ons man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous!
He says I’m redeemed from all curse
- Galatians 3:13 - Christ has redeemed us from the curses of the law, being made a sure for us; for it is written cursed is everyone what hangs on a tree.
He says I have a purpose, He has a plan for my life!
- Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thought of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
This is just to name a few thing God says about you and me!
Second year, in essence is to understand that at a heart level and apply that practically in live. Everything I was taught in first year, second year was how to experience it, in your everyday to day life!
I discovered that I was not alone - we all go through things.
- The devil likes to make you think that you are the only one going through something, but in reality the person sitting next to you has the same problem!
I was taught how to open up, share my troubles, experiences and testimony with others.
Even in those tough times, with people around, I was taught how to build my relationship with God and His Word even deeper.
God can give you one word, and it can be exactly what you need. Your life can be changed and you can use that same word, to change that person, with the same problem’s life!
Our Father set me free, showed me how valued I am - yes, I discover it in first year, (all these wonderful things), but second year taught me how to apply what I had learned in my daily life. How to experience all of those wonderful things!
When we went out there on the street, the homeless, those in shelter, ministering to all the people in need, when you know there is no way you can touch this person’s live, they are to closed off, but God…!
That’s when you learn to trust in God, that’s when your focus shifts - that’s when you die to self, from how can I help this person to “God how would you like to change this person live?” How would YOU like to reach out to them today?”
We in ministry are so quick in wanting to serve, wanting to love other people. You can’t do that if you haven’t experienced it first!
The second part of Gal 2:20 read: “that gave himself for me .”
You see God never asks us to do something He did not do first! God always leads by example.
God loved us first and therefore you can now love others.
Jesus showed us how to minister to people, how we can let God’s supernatural power flow through us, so we can learn from Him and go do the same and more. - John 14:12
We can look to Jesus to see how to minister to people through gifts.
This is the part in which we needed tissue oil! We were stretched to the limits!
Let me tell you the first time I stood up in front of the leaders in second year class, I was reading everything of the page, fumbling around and a mess! I was a nerve reck!
But as the year went on, I got stretched little by little. Every time we went out to the ark, ministering to broken ladies and seeing the Lord do miracles through us.
Waking up extra early on Wednesday mornings to give early bird sermons. It is then that I got stretched a little bit at a time.
All these with the leadership, support and guidance from our amazing leaders!
Then I went on a mission trip, and that’s when I was put to the test. Have I really lost my fear of man? That moment I had to switch my focus from me to God.
It was then that I suddenly realised all I have learned in the past year, suddenly it started bubbling out of me like a fountain!
I discovered a glimpse of how God sees people, how much He loves people!

The change I saw in my life and the lives of my fellow students is only a supernatural change.
Only a change that can take place in the right environment like Charis Bible College, with the Godly leaders we have as example, and the touch of the supernatural love and caring Father that we have.
2018 has been a year where I have grown more than ever. It has been hard many times, but looking back now, I would not have traded it for the world!
I’m thankful for the people that spoke into my life this year, who supported me and I’m a blessed knowing I have a Heavenly Father that loves me more than I can ever comprehend!
Thank you also to all my readers for your prayer and financial support.
I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, spend with family and close friends.
I am excited for 2019 and seeing what the Lord has in store!
Much Love
